As a woman who self proclaims as "all eyelashes and tits" I am now double in the singular if you know what I mean! One right boob and one right hand set of eyelashes! Okay so I can cope with the mastectomy, but eyelashes ~ noooooo! I am all 'eyelash and tit" now! Actually I am mildly amused at my stupidity. I tried a false eyelash on but to be honest Lily Savage looks more believable than I did!
Anyway, that is about all I have to report as I have the month off from Monthly Makes (see previous post) and it in in far safer hands than mine!
BOOB TALK!
After much thought I have decided to take some pictures of my boob and upload them to Pinny! Why? Well when waiting for the mastectomy I searched high and low on the internet for pictures, especially of any with implants and found very few! I am so please with mine and really want to be there for anyone who does the same search as I did. I am so pleased with it and so are my Consultants who have sent other Doctors to come and see it as it is a fairly uncommon operation. Saying that, I think that after seeing how mine has turned out I think they may opt to use this method more frequently!
This would be almost identical to a standard reconstruction in looks!

Great idea about the boob pic....it would certainly have helped me, and you're right about the lack of stuff already out there. I wanted to see pics of the stitches and scars....weird, I know, but it really bugged me that all I was given at the hospital was some daft line drawings....useless!

Shouldnt laugh but.... if you didnt you'd cry. As my dad used to say there is only a fortnight between a good and a bad hair cut!!! Wear a bright lipstick and it will draw attention away from your eyes - maybe???? Keep smiling xx
Oh no!!!!! Ak, what a horrid thing to happen! I did something similar (well, no way as devastating but at the time I was reallllly cross!) with my gums. I have a receding gum on one of my front teeth and I had noticed it seemed to be a little worse, so (stupidly) I was a passenger in a car and we had stopped at a traffic jam- I sat there with my finger, feeling the gum paranoidly and worriedly, when all of a sudden, we jolted forward and I scraped my fingernail really hard there and ripped away another bit of gum! I was soooooooo soooo angry with myself!
I'm so glad you are doing ok, despite one-sided lashes and boobage, I was away when you last posted so I missed it, hurrah that you beat the nasty old C, fantastic news! Hope you are ok x

Dont worry, they grow back. I hope. When I had chemo all my eyelashes fell out. They didnt really grow back. So now I never have to bother with mascara! Just go heavier on the eye shadow. :o)
Cant wait to see the "booby". As for your hairy experience, I don't know what it is but as I get older I am forever finding new "bristles". I get out my hubby's razor and scrape it over my offending hair, only to find one appears the very next morning, only this time it's longer!!! A bristle on steroids! Holy shit.
Only you, Annie... ;-) I reckon it's time to get some of those really OTT false eyelashes - London skyline perhaps? Diamante? Even...leopard?

Good for you posting the pics of your boobs. So many people would be afraid of doing something like this but you just laugh in the face of fear. Its brilliant that people can see exactly what to expect and you know what, once you have a bra on you wouldn't even know.
So pleased that you are recovering well, it's great news well except for the eyelashes of course ;p

Oh no! When I was a GS leader one of the girls was easily distracted. One day, she was shaving her legs and got an itch on the front of her head. You guessed it. She forgot she had the razor in her hand and scratched the itch. She took off a patch in the front of her head. She parted her hair funny for a while and her mother was embarrassed so she made her promise not to tell anyone. Of course, she was such a ditz she forgot that too and told everybody. It grew out and she grew up a lot better than expected,

Oh no!!!! bahahahaha Thanks for being so honest and refreshing lady. And f*%k those people who comment about using the f word. (Rolling eyes.) Sending thoughts of lucious eyelashed your way, hopefully they will grow back quickly! I use eyelash serum every night in the hopes that one day I can be like you....hahahahaha ;)
