I Have a Serious Spoon Habit...

....not any old spoon you understand, but RICE DK melamine spoons!

I buy mine online from the fabulous Nettle Green.

Here is my collection, a bit over the top I know but as I said to myself it is only the price of a facial - I am getting worryingly good at tellin myself such crap in order to support my spending habit!

I think I may have bought too many! Can you see the RICE DK cake forks too!

I can gaze at them while preparing food!

I once gave my dad a tuppeware style box of food and one of my beloved spoons. Do you know what he did? He bloodywell binned my precious spoon and when I said W-H-Y!! He said 'oh thought it was just a plastic spoon'! Just a plastic spoon my ass, it is melamine! Melamine!!!! He can eat with his bloody fingers in future!

What a fab obsession, I mean collection. You can never have enough spoons, pretty coloured ones at that! Flaming men lol I hope you got him to replace it and a couple more for stress caused?? I can see why you love them. My 'thing' is mugs. I have loads but only drink out the same manky looking thing.

I had heard of them but didn't know what they looked like - they are pretty. but why not? it's harmless, colourful and makes you happy - I am starting to like them quite a lot and have looked several times now and can imagine their cheery colours in my own kitchen! I guess that's how collectors become collectors - you have probably just caused the price of your spoons to go up by creating a bigger following for them!

Wowser! Love the colours, I can understand why you gaze, they're almost hypnotic! Men, what do they know???? They just don't get it, like the love of fabric. Although I have girlfriends who glaze over when I talk about my fabric Blog! Thanks for sharing - we get it!!!!!
